Informal Learning Program Models for Equity

One of our network goals was to support informal learning programs with developing key outcomes for equity. This might look like recruiting more diverse youth for a program, figuring out what obstacles prevent diverse youth from attending (e.g. transportation options), training program eductors to support more student identities, etc.

We provide this template to support community programs with (re)designing STE(A)M programming toward equity goals or planning to maintain equitable programming. The key equity areas are drawn from Archer et al. (2022). We provide here a model from one of our program leaders who used this Excel template to plan for ways to expand and diversify her programming.

We suggest making a copy of this template and filling it out for your program.
