Virtual STEAM Career Fair Toolkit

This resource supports schools or community-based organizations with planning a virtual STEAM career fair. We developed these resources through a cross-state network that wanted to bring together various STEAM professionals with students, in order to support diverse youth’s rightful presence across various STEAM career trajectories. We discovered that instead of waiting for a career fair to come to your local area, it was possible to “grow your own” career fair through virtual connections - and that professionals were very generous and willing to support youth questions and engagement!

This toolkit helps local science networks serving diverse students to create a virtual career fair to support students with considering engagement with STEAM for a variety of different goals, including but not limited to STEAM careers. This format recognizes the many STEAM-engaged careers that are legitimate and expansive pathways into the sciences.
